Sick at home

Well over the past 2 day both my kids and husband came down with the flu, one after another, I however lucked out and did not get sick (knock on wood). I was told that if they have the flu symptoms chances are it is the H1N1 but who knows as they were not tested and I was told not to bring them in to the DR unless the symptoms presisted or got worse.

It all started with my youngest at 2am, with my oldest at 4am followed by my husband at 6am. All were thowing up, had a fever, didn't have an appietiete, and my husbands cough increased as he has asthma, so I was concerned. My oldest daughter seemed to be the least sick throwing up only in the morning with a fever and the having the fever top out at about 101.8. By the afternoon she was up and about saying that she felt much better. My husband and yougest daughter got the worst of it, both having a fever of 101.8 for most of the day finally ending prior to bed, both threw up into the afternoon every now and then until the evening. Needless to say all of us were in one bed room that night so that I could keep a close eye on everyone just incase the symptoms returned. The next day other than being tired they all seemed fine with now fevers and no more throwing up. Today my husband is back at work and both girls are playing and eating again.

Today I am just plan tired, after 2 days of taking care of the family it takes it's toll. But I am very glad that they are all feeling better and that we weathered the flu, I hope others do as well.

Paid for surveys??

I am sure that everyone has seen the ads saying you can make money for just taking surveys. I have seen them I have even looked at them as I enjoy taking surveys, some can be interesting and informative other can be pointless and don't even relate to your life. But getting paid to do surveys well... you can.

However you have to do a lot of surveys. So far the only survey company that I have actually gotten money from is Global Test Market (www.golbaltestmarket.com) about 100USD (1000 points) in over 2 years...not much but it has paid for a couple nice dinners for date nights with my hubby.

Other surveys give you points and then you can spend the points but it seems to take about as long to get enough to get decent amount of points so that you can get a decent gift.

Granted I pick and choose and I don't do every survey that come across my e-mail and I don't always qualify for the full survey but you do get "points" for at least taking parts of the survey, but I don't look at this as an income. I don't see surveys as a way to make big money fast, so be aware that you won't get rich. But if you are looking for extra cash every now and then enjoy them and the benefits that you can receive.

health

I have in the recent days been bombarded with Health questions. With the H1N1 virus striking at every turn, or so the media says, it gets pretty scary. Now I am not saying that this new Flu isn't dangerous, I believe that it can be and is to certain people. But it makes me take stoke of what I am doing for my family and their health.
This is a daunting task, some don't want any form of vaccination in their bodies, and other seem to go over board and everything in between. I am trying to gather as much information as possible on this new out break of the flu but it is so hard to get any consistent facts. Like for instance I want to know how many people die each year of just the regular seasonal flu's and compare it to how many have died from the H1n1. Or what other reactions are possible allergic or side effect...those seem to change based on who you talk to.
So if you are like me post a comment and lets have a discussion. I don't want this to be a debate about getting the shots or not but a discussion of what it is what it may or may not do just so that maybe we can start getting some facts from each other and what we have heard.
